Introducing Sparx Assessments
What is Sparx Assessments?
Sparx Assessments is designed to make setting, managing, and reviewing assessments easier, while giving you clearer insight into your students’ progress. With Sparx Assessments, you can set assessments for multiple classes at once, and manage them all from one place.
All the Assessments are paper-based. Once an assessment is set you can download the paper from the assessment summary page. Alternatively, you can download the papers from Sparx Curriculum: https://sparxmathscurriculum.com
Status updates and key actions are shown at a glance, so you can quickly see what’s been completed and what needs attention.
Online data entry is faster and easier, helping you reduce the time spent on admin. Ahead of each assessment, enhanced revision tools make it simple to prepare your students. Afterwards, improved Fix-Up tasks provide every learner with a targeted follow-up — featuring focused questions based on the specific answers they got wrong.
National benchmarking shows how your results compare across schools, and comprehensive reports can be downloaded and adapted for your department’s needs.
How does Sparx Assessments link to Sparx Maths?
Any class that is set up in Sparx Maths homework will be eligible for Sparx Assessments. However students assessment results and their homework completion are mutually exclusive, one does not influence the other.
Which assessments are available in Sparx Assessments?
Sparx Maths curriculum assessments for each term and the end of year for years 7 to 10 are available. There is also a Year 7 baseline assessment available which assesses students’ retained knowledge from Key Stage 2.
