This article explains how to set, monitor and the content within revision

How to set revision

  1. Go to ‘Revision’

  2. Click ‘Set Revision’ from the top right corner

  3. Choose the Year Group

  4. Select which classes you want to set revision for

  5. Click ‘Select revision’

  6. Select the revision template you want to set for the classes you have chosen

  7. Click ‘Next”

  8. Confirm your choices by clicking ‘Set Revision’. Note: as soon as you have set the revision it will be visible for the students in your chosen classes.

  9. This revision task will now appear on your Revision Dashboard.

Monitoring a student’s revision

  1. Go to ‘Revision’, on this page you will see all of the revision tasks you have set.

  2. Click ‘View Summary’

  3. Under the ‘Summary’ tab you can click on a student’s name to see their revision answer history for all questions

  4. Each cell is colour-coded so teachers can review progress through each topic or strand

    • White: No questions attempted

    • Orange: All questions correct, but the section was not completed

    • Green: All questions attempted and answered correctly

  5. Click a cell in the table to see a student’s answer history for a particular topic or strand.

  6. Within the answer history view each question has information to inform the teacher of a students’ answer history at a glance

    • Green tick - has been answered correctly (attempt number shown)

    • Orange cross - has been answered incorrectly (attempt number shown)

    • Grey eye - question has been viewed by the student by not answered

Monitoring a class’s revision

  1. Go to ‘Revision’, on this page you will see all of the revision tasks you have set.

  2. Click ‘View Summary’

  3. Under the ‘Summary’ tab the table shows the average completion of the full revision package and each unit along the top row.

  4. The completion row is colour-coded for each unit.

  5. The table shows each student’s completion of the full revision package in the ‘Completion’ column.

What content is in revision?

The revision for each term is linked to the Sparx Maths curriculum for that term. This curriculum can be found here. The end-of-year revision only includes material up to the end of half term 5, as many schools run their end-of-year assessments before half term 6 content has been taught.
